Flavoured
by Its_Todd
Flavoured changes how meat cooks, adding smoked and roasted variants of steak, mutton, pork, goat and hoglin meat to the food lineup for Forge.
What it does
Cooking a piece of meat gives a different result depending on where it is cooked. A smoker produces smoked versions of steak, mutton, porkchop, Chevon goat meat and Hogchop hoglin meat, and these give more saturation than their plain counterparts. Cooked Chevon and Cooked Hogchop are added as separate items, and roasted variants are planned for campfires in a later update.
Smoked meats take longer to eat and restore the food bar slightly less than the standard cooked versions, so food matters a little more in long trips. The author suggests pairing the mod with a food-value display to read the exact hunger and saturation of each item. The server and every player need the mod installed. Files are published for Forge only, for 1.20.1, and the latest file is 1.1, dated 2025-02-27.
Key features
Smoked meat variants
A smoker turns steak, mutton and porkchop into smoked items that give more saturation than the plain cooked meat.
Goat and hoglin meat
Chevon goat meat and Hogchop hoglin meat join the food list, each with a cooked and a smoked form.
Slower eating
The smoked variants take longer to eat and restore the food bar a little less, so each piece lasts longer in play.
Planned campfire roasting
The author lists roasted variants cooked on campfires as a future addition, not part of the current build.

How it compares
Marbled's Chevon covers the Chevon goat meat alone and is published for Forge and NeoForge across 1.20.1 – 1.21.1, under All rights reserved. Hannibal's Delight is a Forge-only food mod for 1.20.1 under the MIT License. Hoglin Fix Mod is open source under the MIT License, a Forge build for 1.20.1 that deals with hoglin behavior rather than food, so it does not replace Flavoured's meat variants.
