Rispwind's Infinite Deep Dark

by Rispwind

Rispwind's Infinite Deep Dark lets a Netherite ingot light an Ancient City portal that leads into a Deep Dark biome built on nether-style world generation.

ForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.19.4 – 1.20.1

What it does

Placing an Echo Shard beside a Netherite Ingot on a crafting table produces Echoing Netherite, which gives the metal a use beyond armor and tools. An item used like Flint Steel ignites the portal inside an Ancient City, and the portal's far side opens into an endless Deep Dark biome. The portal will not activate while Sculk Veins sit inside its frame, so those veins must be removed first. Installation requires Forge 1.19.4 or 1.20.1, and the mod is client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for 1.19.4 and 1.20.1, with build 3 for 1.20.1 as the latest.

Key features

  1. Netherite portal ignition

An item used like Flint Steel lights the Ancient City portal, giving Netherite a practical role in the game.

  2. Echoing Netherite recipe

A crafting table with a Netherite Ingot and an Echo Shard produces Echoing Netherite.

  3. Infinite Deep Dark biome

Stepping through the portal leads to a Deep Dark biome that never ends, built with world generation based on the Nether.
