Rezolve

by rezonant

Rezolve is a Forge technology mod built around Thunderbolt, a universal cable that carries items, fluids and energy between machines on a network.

What it does

Rezolve is aimed at players who manage complex automated bases. One Thunderbolt cable carries items, fluids and FE energy for vanilla machines, Rezolve machines and machines added by other mods. Remote Shell attaches to that network and opens the interface of any connected machine from a distance, while Database Server stores custom names for machines and Security Server limits which players and usernames can reach a machine's interface.

Remote access draws FE energy, both to open a remote machine and continuously while it stays open, and a Remote Shell that loses power disconnects. Bundles group a set of items into one item so they move together without mixing with unrelated items, which suits flow control and storage; the bundler itself needs RF energy in proportion to bundle size. The mod is client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Forge 1.19.2 only, and the source code and issue tracker are public under the MIT License, which makes it open source.

Key features

  1. Thunderbolt cable

One universal cable links items, fluids and energy across machines, so a single network replaces several separate pipes.

  2. Remote Shell access

The Remote Shell opens the interface of a connected machine from a distance and shows its current FE within the shell.

  3. Machine database

The Database Server stores custom machine names and shared data for every machine on a Thunderbolt network.

  4. Access control

Security Servers set rules per machine, granting access to specific players or Minecraft usernames; the mechanism works on both client and server.

  5. Item bundles

A bundler packs a group of items into one bundle so they travel together, and a larger bundle draws more RF energy.
