Restore Inventory

by Basti_Ld.

Restore Inventory lets players bring back their items after death, a server crash, lava or PvP, using saved inventory copies taken at set intervals.

FabricClient and serverAll rights reserved1.21 – 1.21.11

What it does

Copies of the inventory are taken on a timer. Slots 1 and 2 are saved every minute by default, and slot 3 is saved only when a player runs the save command. The interval for each slot can be set in a configuration screen, and the restore rules can be adjusted to match the way a server is run.

Restoring is done with a short command. Running restoreInv 1, restoreInv 2 or restoreInv 3 brings back the matching saved inventory. If the player is already holding items when the command runs, the current inventory is replaced by the saved one. Restore Inventory needs Fabric API, and the mod runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. It is published for Fabric only, across 8 release versions 1.21 – 1.21.11, under All rights reserved and is not open source. Source code, an issue tracker and a wiki are linked from the project.

Key features

  1. Timed inventory copies

Slots 1 and 2 are saved automatically at configurable intervals, with a default of one and five minutes.

  2. Manual save slot

Slot 3 keeps a copy only when the player types the save command, so a moment can be kept on purpose.

  3. Simple restore command

A single command restores the inventory from any of the three slots, and no other setup is needed to use it.

  4. Configuration screen

A clear interface sets how many minutes pass before slots 1 and 2 are saved, and the restore rules can be customized.

  5. Protection after death

Inventories are kept safe after a death so the items lost can be recovered.
