Remote Chests lets players reach storage blocks from a distance by binding them and opening them from wherever the player stands.

What it does

Players bind open storage blocks and then open any bound block without walking to it. Supported blocks include regular and double storage chests, barrels, shulker containers, the furnace family and item-transfer hoppers. A bound block can only be opened while its chunk is loaded. Fabric API is required, and the mod runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. It is released under CC0 1.0 Universal and is not open source. Files exist for 1.20.1 only.

Key features

  1. Binding storage blocks

    Pressing B while looking at a storage block saves it to the player's list of remote blocks.

  2. Remote list screen

    Pressing R opens the list of saved storage blocks, where each entry can be opened.

  3. Renaming and removing

    Saved entries can be renamed or removed from the list without touching the block itself.
