Redstone Scrambler
by Mozzaza
Redstone Scrambler, a Technology mod by Mozzaza, adds a throwable redstone EMP item and a set of tools that send temporary redstone signals to machines and doors.
What it does
Players throw an EMP item that sends a short redstone pulse through the area it lands in, activating nearby noteblocks, trapdoors, doors and pistons for a moment. A remote activation signal can be sent to a chosen block from a distance, and a sneak-based action can force open a redstone door without breaking it. A super-fast temporary redstone clock is also included, though its timing is described as only kind-of reliable.
The mod is built around pranks and redstone experiments on multiplayer servers and in single-player worlds, where one player can trigger a bundle of TNT or machinery built by another. Architectury API must be installed alongside it on every loader. Redstone Scrambler runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need the mod, and it is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 1.20.1, 1.21, 1.21.1, 1.21.2 and 1.21.3, under the Apache License 2.0 with the source kept closed.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Server owners who run prank-friendly communities and redstone players who want quick ways to test circuits. Players on the server need the mod too, since the environment is client and server.
How it compares
Easy Doors & Trapdoors is a mod that the server requires while clients may leave it out, targets 1.21 – 1.21.11 on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, licensed under the MIT License and not open source. Remote Detonators is a client and server mod for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 1.20.1 – 26.1.2, also MIT licensed and not open source, and it adds remote explosions instead of signal pulses. Simple Throwable Bricks is a Forge-only, client and server mod for 1.20.4 – 1.21 under the MIT License and open source, which covers throwing items but no redstone behavior.
