RecursiveAE2PatternProvider adds a recursive option to AE2 pattern providers, so a pattern can be generated for every missing ingredient of a crafting recipe.
What it does
Recursive AE2 Pattern Provider automates Applied Energistics 2 crafting by creating dependency patterns for complex recipes inside the network. When a pattern's ingredients are missing, the mod generates patterns for those ingredients as well, following the chain several tiers deep, and only for items that have a valid crafting recipe. Smart Dependencies is required, so install it alongside the mod.
The mod runs on NeoForge and is published for 1.21.1 and 26.1.2. Files target the client and server together, so both need it. The code is under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license, and the source code is public, although the license is not open source. Recursive status is kept when a recursive pattern is re-encoded, and the default base item can be changed in a common config file.

Recursive pattern generation
Patterns for missing crafting ingredients are created automatically, down to the depth set in the configuration.
Recipe discovery
Only items with a valid crafting recipe receive a generated pattern, so no unusable patterns are added.
Terminal toggle
Recursion can be switched on or off in the Crafting Pattern tab of the Pattern Encoding Terminal, with fluid substitution buttons beside it.
Crafting table conversion
Patterns can be converted through a crafting table recipe that combines an AE2 pattern with a recursive pattern item.
