Reagenica / KagakuCraft
Reagenica is a Forge science mod for 1.20.1 that turns chemistry, ore processing, fermentation and nuclear power into things players build and run.
What it does
Players mix reagents to synthesize new substances, crush and reduce ores into ingots, distill chemical materials into fuels, and isolate useful microbes. A draft chamber is the starting point, where a single reagent can be refined from crude oil. Larger setups go on to nuclear reactors for power generation, and fermentation produces soy sauce, miso and sake from cooking-related recipes.
The content is spread across the world. Japanese-style hot spring villages occasionally generate, and a Paleogene-inspired dimension lets players explore an older version of Earth with volcanoes, ancient metasequoia forests and caves. Progress is guided through in-game advancements. The mod is aimed at a slower, science-themed pace, and it also works alongside Create for automation. JEI is recommended for recipe browsing.
Reagenica runs on the client and on the server, so both sides need it. It is released under All rights reserved and is not open source. Files exist for Forge only, with Forge 47.2.6 recommended for the 1.20.1 build.
