Rack It Up

by ZoranZ

Rack It Up adds drying racks that turn food into dried foods such as monster jerky, using recipes that players can hang items on in the world.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

Items placed on a rack are dried over time, and the output is set by a recipe file, so server owners and pack makers can change which food dries into what. Recipes are written as JSON, with the path depending on the game version: pack/data/rackitup/recipes for 1.20.1 and pack/data/rackitup/recipe from 1.21 on. Drying time is given in ticks. The mod works with Tinkers Construct's port of the drying rack and supports JEI integration. It runs on client and server and is published for Forge and NeoForge, with files for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, under the MIT License.

Key features

  1. Hanging drying racks

Food items can be hung on the rack in the world, where they dry into a result defined by a recipe.

  2. Data-driven recipes

Drying recipes are JSON files in the datapack, so new foods can be added without a code change.

  3. JEI integration

Drying recipes can be viewed in JEI, which lists each input and its dried output.
