Random 9 chunks
by w1nt3rl0v3r
Random 9 chunks turns the Overworld into nine separate chunks, each with its own generated layers, set in an endless void.
What it does
Each of the nine survival chunks generates on its own, and every chunk has a different random block for its vertical layer. The layers begin at Y=90 and continue down to the minimum world height. The lowest layer is always bedrock, and unbreakable technical blocks such as water, lava, enchanting tables and beacons are excluded from the random pool.
A new world starts on a safe platform with one oak tree and a chest holding supplies for the first steps. A player who falls into the void receives a fresh set of supplies after respawning, and can use this recovery up to five times.
The mod is built for NeoForge on Minecraft 1.21.1 and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source. Files are published for 1.21.1 only, with 1.2.1 as the latest NeoForge file. The mod also ships with translations in two languages and customizes how the Nether and End are generated.
