Quick Link (Wireless Logistics)
by rofumer
Quick Link, a Forge and NeoForge mod by rofumer, adds Quick Link blocks that move items, fluids, energy and chemicals between two points without pipes.
What it does
Quick Link adds a pair of blocks, a Plug and a Link, that transfer items, fluids, energy and chemicals wirelessly. Plugs stay registered to their network when their chunk unloads, and transfers reach into other dimensions, even when the far chunk is rarely loaded. The mod is described by its author as lightweight and as early-game content, and it can connect to Mekanism chemical handling.
The mod is verified with Compact Machines rooms and tested alongside Pipez, Mekanism transport pipes and other logistics systems without conflicts. Jade and WTHIT are supported natively: looking at a Plug shows its live transfer information, the current upgrade tier and speed multiplier, the configured maximum rate, and the measured incoming and outgoing amounts. Idle plugs are marked as Idle. Both the server and every player need the mod, because the environment is client and server. Quick Link is published for Forge and NeoForge across five release versions, 1.20.1 – 26.3, and the code is licensed under the MIT License, so it is open source.
Key features
Item, fluid, energy and chemical plugs
Plugs carry items, fluids, energy and chemicals, so one network can handle several resource types.
Color channels and side configuration
Fluid transfer uses color channels, and each side of a block can be configured separately.
Networks across chunks and dimensions
Networks keep their registration while chunks unload and link blocks in other dimensions.
Live transfer readouts
Jade and WTHIT show the upgrade tier, speed multiplier, maximum rate and measured throughput of a Plug.
