ProjectE: EMC for Malum

by KURONAMI

ProjectE: EMC for Malum is a server-side data add-on that assigns EMC values to Malum's spirits, ores, trees and recipes, so ProjectE can use them.

ForgeNeoForgeServer-side onlyAll rights reserved1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

Malum's spirits, soulstone, cthonic gold, brilliance ores, runewood and soulwood trees, and the spirit-infusion recipes gain EMC values, which ProjectE then uses for its transmutation system. The add-on only adds data: it introduces no items, blocks or recipes of its own. Values apply when the world loads, and the Transmutation Table shows them.

The add-on requires Malum and ProjectE, and it runs on the server alone, so players join without installing it. Files exist for Forge and NeoForge, published for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, with 0.1.2 as the latest file for each. The code is not open source and is licensed as All rights reserved, although the source code is publicly available.

Key features

  1. Spirit and ore values

Spirits, soulstone, cthonic gold and brilliance ores receive EMC values so they can be transmuted.

  2. Tree and resource values

Runewood and soulwood trees, plus other harvested resources, are assigned EMC values as well.

  3. Spirit-infusion recipes

Spirit-infusion recipes are valued, while end-game Soul Binding recipes that produce stateful artifacts are left out on purpose.

  4. Data-only behavior

The add-on changes no gameplay directly; it only supplies the EMC data that ProjectE reads.

KubeJS ProjectE Fork is a client and server Forge mod for 1.20.1 under the MIT License, open source, and it changes ProjectE behavior through scripts instead of fixed data.

What the author says

Play Malum with ProjectE and none of its spirits or arcane materials have an EMC value. This data-only add-on fixes that. It adds no items, blocks, or recipes — only EMC data. Values apply on world load; open a Transmutation Table to see them.
