Project Flattened Utilities
by GacBL
Project Flattened Utilities gives server owners and command users a way to place custom structures from .nbt files, through commands that can be limited to chosen players.
What it does
Project Flattened Utilities is a lightweight Forge mod by GacBL for Minecraft 1.20.1. It lets a command spawn custom structures stored as .nbt files at the location where the executing player stands. The mod was built for the Project Flattened modpack, and it can also be used alone in other Forge-based 1.20.1 packs. The whole mod runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it.
Running the spawn command requires permission level 2 or higher. A whitelist file lists the players allowed to use it by UUID, and when that list is left empty, each player may call the command once unless a reset command clears their usage. The default structure is used when no name is given, and the player name argument is optional. The mod is open source under the MIT License and publishes its source code and issue tracker.
Key features
Spawn structures from .nbt files
Custom structures stored as .nbt files are placed at the player's current position through a command.
Player whitelist by UUID
A file lists the player UUIDs allowed to use the spawn command, while others are refused.
One use per player
Without a whitelist, each player may spawn a house once, and a reset command restores their ability to use it again.
Default structure
When no structure is specified, a default base is placed, so the command works with no arguments.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Use cases
Modpack starter bases
Pack authors can give each new player a prebuilt base at spawn without manual building.
Server events
Operators can place a prepared structure for a set of listed players, using the whitelist to limit access.
Who it’s for: The mod suits modpack authors and server owners on Forge 1.20.1 who want structures placed by command, and who can grant operator permission level 2 to the players that use it.
How it compares
CorviCraft Spawn Utility is open source under the MIT License and runs on the server alone, so players join without installing it, but it targets Forge 1.18.2. CIT for NBT is also open source, under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later, and is client-side only, for Forge 1.12.2. The hxwi1structures mod is not open source under the MIT License and runs on client and server for Forge and NeoForge across 1.20.1 – 1.21.1.
