ProfileKeys
by rooveshehe
ProfileKeys lets a player save sets of key bindings as named profiles and switch between them without editing controls by hand.
What it does
Each profile stores a full set of key binds, so one setup can suit building, combat or a particular server. Profiles are kept as local JSON files and can be loaded instantly, renamed or deleted from the settings menu. The design follows profile systems in competitive games such as Valorant's KeyProfiles, aimed at keeping separate control schemes apart.
A profile changes only when the player switches it manually through the settings menu, so the active bindings never shift on their own. The mod runs on the client alone, and Fabric API is required beside it. Files are published for Fabric only, for 1.21.11, with 1.1 as the latest build dated 2026-08-21.
The author notes that the project is still in active development, and that bugs and incomplete UI areas may be present while work continues on it.
Key features
Named key bind profiles
Create profiles that each hold their own set of key bindings, for different playstyles or activities.
Instant load
Switch to a saved profile at once from the settings menu, without restarting the game.
Rename and delete
Profiles can be renamed or removed as a player's setups change over time.
Local JSON storage
Each profile is saved as a JSON file on the local machine, so the data stays with the player's installation.

Use cases
Switching setups by activity
A player can keep one profile for building and another for combat, and change between them as needed.
Separate control schemes
Profiles keep different control layouts apart, for players who use several configurations on one account.
Who it’s for: Players who use more than one control layout and want each one saved under its own name. The mod suits people who prefer to change bindings deliberately rather than having them change automatically.
How it compares
Profile Presets is a Fabric mod for 1.21.11, client-side only, under All rights reserved, so its license does not allow open reuse. KeyBindProfiles covers 1.21 – 26.3 and is open source under the MIT License, while ProfileKeys stays with the CC0 1.0 Universal dedication and is not open source.
