PreciousPiles
by oOMitchOo
PreciousPiles lets players place stacks of ingots on the ground as small piles, sneak right-clicking with at least 8 ingots in hand.
What it does
Sneak right-clicking with at least 8 ingots in hand places them in the world as a pile, and a single block can hold a stack of up to 64 ingots. Pile placement only works on solid faces, and the lower half of a pile has to be filled before the upper half can be built. Mining a pile requires a pickaxe, and the placed blocks drop their ingots when they are broken.
The mod is aimed at players who build displays, treasure vaults and contraptions with ingots. Breaking an ingot block takes the same tool tier as breaking the vanilla block it resembles, so a wooden pickaxe is sufficient. The author has also described a planned change to the placement method and possible hardness adjustments for the netherite version.
