Powered Gear lets Forge Energy (FE) repair Silent Gear tools and armor, so durability is restored from stored power rather than materials.

What it does

Powered Gear is a small addon for Silent Gear. Combining a Silent Gear tool or armor piece with a Powered Upgrade adds the Powered trait to that item. Powered Upgrade is crafted as an advanced upgrade base with some redstone. Once the trait is present, the item stores energy in proportion to its durability, and it takes durability damage from that stored energy instead of losing durability directly.

The mod also adds a way to generate energy and charge items with it. An item that runs out of energy loses durability again until it receives enough power, and it is repaired as soon as energy returns. Every point of durability that the energy negates is a point the item does not lose.

Installation needs Silent Gear and Silent Lib, both on Forge for 1.19.2. Powered Gear runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. The mod is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and it is open source. Its files cover 1.19.2 only, and the latest beta build is dated 2023-07-28.
