Portcullises
by Autumnly24
Portcullises adds iron, copper and wooden portcullis gates for Forge 1.20.1, with a redstone gearbox and portstops that extend what a gate can do.
What it does
Portcullises adds gates in three tiers, wood, copper and iron, that work like door variants. Wood and copper gates can be opened by hand with a right-click using an axe or pickaxe, while iron gates open only from a redstone signal. Metal studs and a wooden inlay give the gates their decorative details, and a stronger iron option offers greater blast resistance.
The mod adds a Gate Gearbox that opens the portcullises attached to it when powered and closes them when unpowered, and a portstop that detects when an attached gate is open and outputs a redstone signal. Together these let redstone lines run in any direction, including vertically, without losing signal. The mod is published for Forge 1.20.1 only and is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source. It runs on client and server, and the Create : Simple Gearboxes alternative is also Forge 1.20.1 but is a different gearbox.
Key features
Three gate tiers
Wood, copper and iron portcullises differ in how they open, and the iron tier is the strongest option.
Hand and redstone opening
Wood and copper gates open with a right-click using an axe or pickaxe, and every tier opens from redstone.
Gate Gearbox
A gearbox opens attached portcullises when powered and closes them when unpowered, so a single signal moves a whole gate.
Portstops
Portstops detect an attached open gate and output a redstone signal, letting redstone lines run in any direction.

Use cases
Gated entrances
Gates can close a base entrance or a passage, opening from a lever or a redstone circuit.
Automated redstone builds
Portstops and gearboxes suit builds where a gate's state has to feed back into the circuit.
Who it’s for: Players who build with redstone or want decorative gates for castles and bases, on single-player worlds and multiplayer servers running Forge 1.20.1.
