Player Events
by IotaBread
With Player Events installed, a server can run commands or send messages when a player dies, joins, leaves or kills another player or an entity.
What it does
The Fabric and Quilt mod watches for a set of player and entity events and runs configurable commands or sends configurable messages when one fires. Events include a player dying, leaving the server, joining for the first time, joining, killing another player, and killing any entity. Since version 2.2.0, a datapack can also declare a function tag for each event, and a JSON file can list the actions to send or execute under an actions array.
Inside messages and commands, tokens such as player name or entity display name are replaced with the player or entity that triggered the event, and a random option picks one message from several defined for an event. Entity tokens include the display name, the UUID and the x, y and z coordinates, and most tokens can be read as properties such as player.name. The mod is server-side only, so clients without it still connect normally, and it is published for 1.16 – 1.20.1 on Fabric and Quilt with the MIT License. Some events, such as leaving, cannot target the leaving player with broadcast set to false, because the player is no longer on the server.
