Placeable Maps

Placeable Maps lets players set maps down as blocks, so a map can hang on a wall without an item frame.
What it does
Maps can be placed directly into the world, and a placed map can be locked with a Glass Pane. Glow ink sacs make a placed map glow, which works on a map that was set down without a frame. Cartography tables are needed to make the maps the mod places.
The mod was written for a personal modpack after its author and some friends wanted item frames removed. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Files are published for NeoForge 1.21.1 only, with 1.1.0 as the latest, and the mod is released under the MIT License and is open source.

Without adding any new items, blocks, or entities, this mod adds the ability to place down maps directly. Without the need of an Item Frame first. This mod was born out of me and some friends wanting to remove item frames in a personal modpack, but still wanting maps to be able to be placed down.
