Simple Permissions gives Fabric servers a permissions layer that stores grants in a LuckPerms-like format, so administrators can move data between setups.

What it does

Simple Permissions is a server-side library for Fabric. Permission checks it provides can be used by other mods, and its storage follows a format similar to the Bukkit plugin LuckPerms, which makes transfers between the two systems simpler. The mod needs Fabric API and bundles fabric-permissions-api inside its jar. The unreleased fabric-permissions-api is still retained in the code, and the project recommends targeting fabric-permissions-api instead. Files are published for Fabric only, across 25 release versions 1.16.4 – 1.21.11, under The Unlicense, so the code is open source.

The storage is similar to the bukkit plugin LuckPerms, allowing for easy transfers from LuckPerms. It is recommended to target fabric-permissions-api. Although the API from before the release of fabric-permissions-api is still retained.
