Options Profiles
by trafficlunar
Players who switch between setups can save their option sets and reload them in-game with Options Profiles, a client-side mod by trafficlunar.
What it does
Options Profiles saves the current game options as a named profile and loads it again later. Profiles can be edited in-game: a profile can be deleted, renamed, overwritten, or used to load only a chosen set of options. A profile can also be set to load automatically when joining a certain server.
The mod can store the configuration of supported mods in a profile, including Sodium Extra and Distant Horizons, and third-party mod support is listed in the author notes. It requires Architectury API, and it is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 25 release versions, 1.16.5 – 1.21.11. Only the client needs it, since it changes nothing on a server. The code is under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, so the mod is open source and its source code and issue tracker are public.
Key features
Save and load options
Current option values are stored under a profile name and can be applied again at any time.
Profile editing
Profiles can be deleted, renamed or overwritten, and a load can be limited to only the options a player picks.
Automatic server profiles
A profile can be tied to a specific server, so its options load when that server is joined.

Use cases
Switching between servers
A player who uses different settings on each server can keep one profile per server and let the mod apply it on join.
Testing setups
Saving a profile before changing options makes it possible to return to the earlier values with a single load.
Who it’s for: Players who change graphics or mod settings often, and players who keep different configurations for different servers or worlds.
How it compares
Hotkey Profiles is client-side only, uses Fabric alone and is published only for 1.21.11, under All rights reserved. Options Profiles is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and it is published for four loaders across 1.16.5 – 1.21.11.
