OpSticks

by HitBoost

OpSticks adds eight custom sticks to Minecraft 1.20.1 on Fabric, each with a single special ability used by right-clicking.

FabricClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.20.1

What it does

Each stick carries one ability and its own recipe and texture. Bacon Stick knocks enemies back, Enderpearl Stick teleports the player where they aim, Fire Stick sets everything along its path alight, and TNT Stick places primed TNT where the player looks. Lightning Stick calls down strikes, Healing Stick restores health at once, Speed Stick gives a short burst of movement speed, and Wither Stick applies the Wither effect to targets.

The sticks are meant for play and experimentation rather than building. The mod runs on Fabric for Minecraft 1.20.1 only, and it is open source under the MIT License. Players install it on the client and on the server, so both sides need it.

Key features

  1. Eight special sticks

Bacon, Enderpearl, Fire, TNT, Lightning, Healing, Speed and Wither sticks each work differently when used.

  2. Crafted recipes

Every stick has its own crafting recipe, so the items are obtained through normal play rather than given out.

  3. Custom textures

Each stick uses a distinct texture, which makes the abilities simple to tell apart in an inventory.

  4. Targeted effects

Sticks such as Wither and Fire act on the block or creature the player is facing, so aim decides the result.

Use cases

Creative play

Who it’s for: Players who want simple, playful weapons and tools in a Fabric world. The mod suits casual single-player worlds and multiplayer servers that accept chaotic gameplay.
