Junior's Open Smash Bats adds nine baseball bats to the game, each with its own ability, for Forge on 1.12.2.
What it does
Each bat is a melee weapon with a distinct effect. The set covers the Wooden, Iron, Golden, Diamond and Netherite Smash Bats, the Blast and Creeper Smash Bats that play on explosions, the Riding Smash Bat for mounted combat, and the Thunder Smash Bat. Players craft or find them like other tools and swing them in ordinary combat.
The project is an open-source continuation of an earlier mod by Tsuteto, ported to 1.12.2. The code is released under the MIT License, and public links exist for the source code and the issue tracker. Files are published for Forge only, and the latest build is 1.2.0 for 1.12.2, dated 2026-02-08.
Both the server and every player need the mod installed. The mod was first published on 2025-09-14 and last updated on 2026-02-08. The author lists further bats as planned, but only the nine bats in the current build are described here.
