What it does

Mylops wander through forest biomes as neutral creatures that only turn hostile when provoked. Its eyes stay fixed on anything that touches it, and a slight touch from a player triggers a blinding rage. Enraged Mylopes attack the creature nearest them until they are calmed with food. Feeding one a particular delicacy pacifies it for good, and a pacified Mylops can be tempted with Spingleberry Jam Pie. Slain Mylops can drop Mylops Bones, and rarely a Mylops Eye.

Spingleberry Dragons appear in swamps and mangrove swamps and leave players alone unless they are approached. It prefers the sky and comes closer to the ground when tempted with Spingleberries. After eight berries it enters an engorged state and can be bottled as Spingleberry Jam, and it breeds with Spingleberry Pie. Mylops Fur brewed into potions, and sturdy bones crafted into a legendary Mylopsian Sword, round out the new items. The mod is published for Forge and NeoForge, with files for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, and the license is All rights reserved, so the code is not open source.

Key features

  1. Neutral Mylops

Mylops keep to themselves and only turn hostile after a player touches them, then stay enraged until fed.

  2. Passive Spingleberry Dragons

Dragons drift toward players who offer Spingleberries and can be bred with Spingleberry Pie.

  3. Mylops drops

Slain Mylops leave bones, fur and rare eyes, and a Mylops kill of another mob can leave fur behind.

  4. Crafted gear

Mylops Fur and Mylops Bones craft a Mylopsian Cap and a legendary Mylopsian Sword, and the fur also goes into potions.
