Numismatics Calculator

by Daylight

Numismatics Calculator, a client-side utility for coins, totals coin values in the inventory so players do not need an outside calculator.

FabricForgeNeoForgeQuiltClient-side onlyMIT LicenseOpen source1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

The mod counts coins in the inventory and shows the sum on an overlay. Coin values such as 1, 8, 16, 64 and 512 are awkward to add by hand, and random amounts like 75 coins come up often in a main economy or on an SMP trade, so the overlay is meant to replace a separate calculator. Holding Shift shows the total value of a single slot.

Its Main Overlay has two tabs at the top. The first tab displays the total coins in the inventory or in a selected area, and a Select button toggles selection mode, which also works on chests and other containers. The second tab takes an amount of coins and reports the coin composition that makes it up, with infinite coins assumed by default. An Only Available checkbox switches to a mode that counts only the coins the player actually holds, which covers cases such as overpaying or not having enough.

Create: Numismatics is required and must be installed alongside the mod. Numismatics Calculator is open source under the MIT License and is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1.

Key features

  1. Inventory coin totals

The overlay shows the total coin value of the inventory, or of a selected area, updated as the player works.

  2. Slot value on Shift

Holding Shift reveals the total value of a single slot that contains coins.

  3. Selection mode

A Select button marks an area, including chests and other containers, to sum only the coins inside it.

  4. Amount breakdown

The second tab takes a coin amount and returns the composition that makes it, with an Only Available mode that checks against held coins.

What the author says

This is a client-side forge mod that adds some calculator functionality to coin items from the mod "Create: Numismatics" by IThundxr. This is useful because those coins have values like 1, 8, 16, 64, 512 and those are VERY hard to calculate for random sums like "75" if you have those coins as the main economy on an…
