Nuclear Winter
by sanser
Nuclear Winter generates a post-nuclear landscape for Forge worlds, with irradiated biomes, structures and blocks added to 1.20.1 terrain.
What it does
The mod adds world generation for a post-apocalyptic setting. Wastelands, radioactive oceans, ash forests and a Mojave desert appear as biomes, and the terrain carries the look of a world after a nuclear event. New structures and blocks fill those biomes, including radioactive stone, blazetite, Mojave cactus and ashwood.
Geckolib is required and must be installed alongside Nuclear Winter. The mod is built for Minecraft 1.20.1 only and is published for Forge. Either side can run it, and neither needs it, so it can be added to a server or a single-player world without changes on the client.
The author describes the current release as a first set of features, with more content planned. Files are released under All rights reserved, so the code is not open source.

Setting for servers
The author suggests the mod for servers that want a post-apocalyptic theme, as the biomes change the world itself.
