NovaStack Performance+
by NovaStack
NovaStack Performance+ targets frame-time spikes in areas crowded with mobs and dropped items, and runs on the client only.
What it does
The mod reduces the processing that entity-heavy areas demand, so the client spends less CPU on mob activity and frame times stay steadier. Its main focus is the performance cost of large numbers of mobs and dropped items. Chunk loading and memory use are also part of the optimisation work described for the mod.
The gains are most visible around mob farms and grinders, where entity counts stay high. In low-entity scenes the effect is small, and vanilla gameplay is kept intact. Results depend on hardware and on which other mods are installed. The mod is meant to sit alongside other optimisation mods, and it can modify rendering behaviour. Fabric API must be installed for it to load.
NovaStack Performance+ is published for Fabric only, for Minecraft 1.21.10, under the MIT License, which means the code is not open source. Only the client needs it; a server running without it works as normal.
Key features

Mob-heavy scene tuning
Targets the spikes that appear around mob farms and grinders, where many entities update at once.
Steadier frame times
Aims to keep frame-time variation smaller in entity-heavy areas, though results vary by setup.
Rendering adjustments
Changes how some rendering work is handled while leaving the rest of vanilla gameplay unchanged.
