NoCubes
by cadiboo
NoCubes replaces the blocky look of Minecraft terrain with smooth, rounded landscapes on the client, while blocks keep their square positions and collisions.
What it does
Terrain generated by the game is drawn with smoother surfaces: hills roll, caves look circular, mountain ranges flow, and trees take on rounded shapes. Buildings and blocks stay where they were, and the world still plays as the familiar game, so exploring a known map can reveal a changed scene that still feels recognizable. The mod can be combined with BetterFoliage, OptiFine and Dynamic Lights, and works with shaders.
NoCubes requires Fabric API on Fabric and runs on Fabric or Forge for 1.12.2 – 1.21.1, with 18 release versions covered. Files for 1.20.1 are the latest on Fabric, and the latest Forge file also targets 1.21.1. It is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only and is open source, with public source code, an issue tracker and a wiki.

Smooth lighting and liquids
Lighting, biome color transitions and liquid bodies are rendered with smooth edges, including shorelines.
Multiple renderers
Several rendering methods are included, among them OldNoCubes and SurfaceNets, so players can pick the look that suits them.
