No Move Recipe Book
by arino4ka110
No Move Recipe Book keeps the main inventory window in place when the recipe book opens beside a crafting table or furnace screen.
What it does
Vanilla Minecraft slides the whole window sideways when the recipe book panel appears, moving the inventory, crafting table or furnace with it. This mod holds those elements fixed, so the crafting menu stays put while the recipe book opens to one side. It is written for Fabric and runs on the client alone, so a server does not need it.
The mod targets players who find the sliding layout disruptive and want the interface to stay fixed. It is published for 1.20.1 – 26.1.2 with 20 release versions, and the latest Fabric file, 26.1.2(1.0), is dated 2026-06-06. The source code and issue tracker are public, while the license is All rights reserved, so the code is not open source.
Key features
Fixed main window
The inventory, crafting table or furnace window keeps its position when the recipe book is opened.
Recipe book beside the screen
The recipe book appears at the side of the crafting menu instead of pushing the main window aside.
Vanilla shifting prevented
The GUI no longer slides in the default vanilla way when the recipe book is toggled.
Client-side operation
The change happens on the player's side, so joining a server does not require the mod on the server.
