No End Flash!
by y9
No End Flash! is a client-side Fabric mod that turns off the purple lightning flash the game shows in the End dimension, and it can be switched on or off with a command.
What it does
The purple lightning that Minecraft shows in the End is a visual effect, and this mod removes it from the client. A player who wants the sky left unlit by that flash can disable it, and the change stays until the player turns it back on. Only the player's own game is affected, so the effect is hidden for that player alone.
The mod is controlled through the noendflash command. Running it without arguments shows the help text and the current status of End flashes, and the toggle argument switches the effect on or off. The command lists its available arguments when called with the help option, so no config file needs editing.
No End Flash! runs on the client alone, so a server does not need it and players can join a server without installing anything. It is published for 1.21.9 – 26.3 on Fabric only, under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, and the source code and issue tracker are public.

Use cases
Hiding the flash during End visits
A player who finds the flashing sky distracting can turn it off before entering the End and turn it back on afterwards.
Checking the current setting
Before changing anything, a player can run the status argument to see whether the flash is active.
Who it’s for: Players who find the End flash distracting, and video creators who want the End sky without the flash. Server owners need nothing, because the mod is client-side only.
How it compares
Disable End is a server-side Fabric mod that is open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license and covers 1.16 – 26.2, so it changes the server rather than the player's client. Disable End Portals is also server-side, open source under CC0 1.0 Universal, and published for 1.19.4 – 1.21.5, aimed at portals rather than the End flash. Status Effect Fix is client-side and not open source, under All rights reserved, with files for 1.21.5 – 26.2.
