Nice Villagers Remastered
by NiceRon
Nice Villagers Remastered changes how villagers behave, look and trade on servers running 1.21 – 1.21.1, with names, reputation effects and small quests added to village life.
What it does
Villagers and wandering traders receive randomized names based on their profession, and each village gets a name built from the professions of the villagers who live there. A trigger command shows a villager's inventory, level and the workbench it has claimed, with that workbench highlighted.
Opening a chest near a villager lowers its reputation toward the player. Prices shift depending on whether a villager has a bed and a meeting point bell. Villagers and iron golems heal over time while they stay near the village bell during the day. Some villagers also post small fetch quests that pay a modest reward. Villagers can be leashed, which makes moving them easier.
The mod is server required and client optional: the server needs it, while players may add it. Files exist for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, all for 1.21.1, and the code is under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, so it is open source. On a PaperMC server or a fork such as Purpur, set allow-non-player-entities-on-scoreboards to true in the Paper configuration for the features to work.

What the author says
But if you are playing on a PaperMC Server (or a PaperMC Fork like Purpur) make sure to set allow-non-player-entities-on-scoreboards in your paper config files to true in order for everything to work properly.
