Natural Decor Mod
by Marioz170
Natural Decor Mod, by Marioz170, adds plants, bushes, small trees and decorative blocks to most vanilla biomes and a few new biomes, and it can be tuned through the config folder.
What it does
Most vanilla biomes gain unique bushes, flowers and small trees, and five new biomes add terrain such as Marshy Wetland, Wooded Basalt Cliffs, Saguaro Desert and Grassy Coastal Dunes. Fish spawn in swamps, mangroves and rivers, and stray dogs appear in birch forests, wooded badlands and sunflower plains. Three new wood types, Juniper, Saguaro Cactus and Araucaria, supply trees and furniture-style blocks. The mod also adds a few mobs: a Botany Beagle that can be tamed with botany biscuits and a trader that sells its own house structure for biscuits.
The mod runs on the Forge and NeoForge loaders and is published for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, with the 1.9.5 build as the latest file on each. It needs to be installed on both the client and the server, so the server and every player run it. The code is not open source, and the mod is released under All rights reserved. Players who want to turn off certain biomes, plants or structures can do so in the mod's config folder, and spawning settings can be disabled separately.

How it compares
Biome2 is a server-side only mod under the Apache License 2.0, published for 1.20.1 – 1.21.4 on Forge and NeoForge, so players join without installing it. Natural Prehistory Spawns is a Forge mod for 1.20.1 only, with client and server environment and the MIT License, and it adds prehistoric creatures rather than plants. Natural Decor Mod also requires both sides and is limited to 1.20.1 and 1.21.1.
