Moves the Mind

by abilliontrillionstars

Moves the Mind is a Fabric library that adds spell patterns for summoning and controlling fake player entities.

FabricClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.20.1 – 1.20.6

What it does

The mod adds spell patterns that let a player summon and control fake player entities through Carpet player commands. Each real player can have one fake player at a time, and the patterns set its properties. The author plans future updates that would allow several fake players per player, based on configuration getters and states. Moves the Mind is a client and server mod, so the server and every player need it. Installation requires Fabric. Files are published for 1.20.1 – 1.20.6 under the MIT License, and the code is open source.

Key features

  1. Summoning fake players

Spell patterns let a player summon a fake player entity that belongs to them.

  2. Control patterns

Patterns set a fake player's properties and move it, and each real player controls only their own fake.

  3. Carpet player commands

Spells can manipulate the player entities that Carpet player commands provide.

Questions

Does Moves the Mind need Carpet mod?

How many fake players can one player summon?

Only one fake player per real player is implemented at present. The author plans to allow several later.

Adds interop between Hexcasting and the Carpetmod /player command, allowing players to use Hexcasting to manipulate the "fakeplayers" and to summon their own. Currently only implements control patterns to set various properties of a given fakeplayer, and affords only one hex-summoned fake per real player. Future…
