Players who want hats, wings, shields or cloaks on their character can use MoreCosmetics, a client mod for Fabric and Forge that adds these cosmetic items.
What it does
Cosmetic items such as hats, wings, shields and cloaks are added to the character, and they can be changed with color settings and other options. Cloaks are free, and the author states that the cosmetics as a whole cost nothing to use. Each cosmetic can be seen by all MoreCosmetics users, so the look is shared between players who run the mod.
Players can upload their own texture and create custom cosmetics, and an integrated texture library offers ready-made textures to start from. The cosmetics menu is reached through Skin Customization, or with the M key, which can be rebound in the settings. The mod runs on the client alone, so servers do not need to install anything.
Files are published for Fabric and Forge. Across 35 release versions the mod covers 1.8.9 – 26.3. The code is not open source, and all rights are reserved by the author.
