MoreChatSuggestions is a small Fabric library that lets other mods offer autocomplete suggestions in chat outside of commands.

What it does

Suggestions normally appear only while typing a command. This library makes the same kind of autocomplete available in the chat box at any point, so a mod can supply its own list of entries for the text being typed. Other mods consume these suggestions, for example to show them in a text editor inside Minecraft. The library is client-side only, so only the client needs it and servers run without it. Fabric API is required, and the code is under a custom license, so it is not open source.

The mod implements the display of suggestions in the vanilla chat interface and relies on vanilla mechanics as little as possible. Because of that, it is possible to keep compatibility with other mods. WeirdChat requires MoreChatSuggestions. Files are published for Minecraft 1.19.2 and 1.19.4, with 1.0.3 for 1.19.4 as the latest Fabric file, released on 2023-04-17.
