MonikaMod
MonikaMod turns a Minecraft world into a psychological horror experience in which Monika from Doki Doki Literature Club gradually takes control of the world.
What it does
As the player progresses, Monika follows through the world and her influence grows over time. An item called Monika's Mark looks harmless at first, but once worn it applies a Binding enchantment that cannot be removed. Under her hypnotic trance, freedom disappears, chat messages become restricted to poetic phrases of devotion, and movement becomes constrained near her. The world gradually turns into endless pink wool, which stands for her complete control over reality.
The mod is described by its author as a commentary on player agency in video games rather than a story about losing control. It combines survival mechanics with psychological horror elements, and its sound design and custom particle effects add to an increasingly claustrophobic atmosphere. Whether the player embraces her or fights for freedom is left to the player character. The mod runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it, and it is published for Forge only, for game versions 1.20.1 – 1.20.6 under All rights reserved.
