modl
by byteful
modl gives server staff a punishment system for bans, mutes and warnings, with a point-based severity scale and a web interface for issuing and managing them.
What it does
Staff issue bans and mutes through commands and a web interface, and each offense adds points to a player's record. Severity levels such as lenient, normal and severe, with offender statuses like low, medium and habitual, drive the duration of each punishment. Administrators can change durations, pardon a case or remove points, so the record can be corrected after a mistake.
Some punishments are handled automatically. Players with bad usernames or skins can be flagged, and the record is cleared when a player changes the offending username or skin. Bans can be stacked so that several run one after another, and a ban against an offline player starts its countdown only after that player successfully logs in. The mod runs on Fabric, with Fabric API required for the same build. It is published for 1.8 – 26.2, with 2.3.2 for 26.2 as the latest Fabric file, and it is released as open source under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 only.
Key features
Point-based offenses
Offenses in gameplay and social categories each carry a configurable point value, which sets the severity of the next punishment.
Configurable durations
Punishment lengths and severity thresholds can be changed, so each server can set its own limits for each offender status.
Web interface
A browser panel lets staff look up players, issue punishments and manage active cases without typing commands in the game.
Stat-wiping on expiration
A ban can run a command when it expires, such as resetting the player's stats, which the server then executes automatically.

Use cases
Moderating a public server
Staff can apply graded bans and mutes, and pardon cases when a player shows improvement.
Handling name and skin violations
Offensive usernames and skins can be punished, and the case closes when the player changes them.
Who it’s for: Server owners and moderation teams that want a record of offenses, with escalating punishments and a web panel for staff. The mod is meant for multiplayer servers rather than single-player worlds.
