Modern Elevators and Escalators adds functional, realistic elevators and escalators to Minecraft, built for Fabric and Forge.
What it does
The mod places working vertical transport into a build, with elevator and escalator blocks that players can set up for everyday travel between floors. Client and server both need it, so every player on a server that runs it has the same transport options. Builds are published for Fabric and Forge across six game versions, 1.16.5 – 1.19.2, and the latest file for both loaders targets 1.19.2.
On Fabric, Fabric API is required, and Mod Menu is optional for changing the mod's settings from a menu rather than editing files. On Forge, Architectury API is required instead. The code is open source under the MIT License, and public links to the source code, issue tracker and wiki are available. The mod has been updated for older Minecraft versions, and it is compatible with Minecraft Transit Railway, a separate transit mod.
The mod has been translated through Crowdin, a cloud-based platform where volunteers can join the project and help translate it into many languages. Players are advised to back up their worlds before installing a new version of the mod.
