Modern Chickens
Modern Chickens is a Forge and NeoForge mob mod that adds a large roster of breedable chickens, with breeding, automation and analysis mechanics.
What it does
The mod is an unofficial port that combines setycz's Chickens mod and timrwood's Roost mod into one package. Breeding stays central: chickens are bred and combined to reach higher tiers, and an analyzer shows the growth, gain and strength stats of a bird when it is right-clicked. Basic chickens can be collected early, and natural spawns, spawn eggs and thrown coloured eggs provide the first birds and dyed variants.
Automation is built around Roosts, Collectors and Henhouses, which move drops into hoppers, item pipes and storage, so hands-free production lines are possible. Chicken machines show tank, energy and progress overlays, and a coop can be scaled. Required Mekanism supplies the chemical and gas chickens, with the radiation bridge for Mekanism content. Client and server both need the mod, and it is open source under the MIT License.

Two chickens are combined in a Breeder to produce new birds, and higher tiers are reached this way.

Right-clicking a chicken with the Analyzer shows its growth, gain and strength values.

Machines and converters
Chicken machines with tank, energy and progress overlays, plus breeding, stat converter and dousing recipe categories.
Mega Chickens
Mega Chickens follow a separate, rare spawn rule that does not apply to the other birds.
