Mob Get Attracted

by Foxepvp

Mob Get Attracted adds two types of blocks that attract mobs and filter or trap them, for players building mob farms on Fabric.

FabricClient and serverAll rights reserved26.1.2

What it does

Players who build mob farms can use the blocks this mod adds to draw mobs toward a chosen spot and then sort or hold them. The blocks are meant to improve and simplify mob farm automation, so a farm can be built with less manual setup. The mod works on servers as well as in single-player.

Fabric API is required, and the mod runs on Fabric for Minecraft 26.1.2 only, with a single file released 2026-04-28 as version 1.0. Both the client and the server need it, so every player on a server that runs it installs the mod too. Just Enough Items (JEI) is optional, and the mod is compatible with it. The mod is published under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.

Key features

  1. Attracting blocks

Blocks pull nearby mobs toward them, which lets a farm gather mobs in one place.

  2. Filtering and trapping blocks

Blocks sort mobs by type and hold them, so only the wanted mobs stay in a farm.

  3. Two block types

The mod supports two types of blocks, one for attraction and one for filtering or trapping.

  4. Server support

The blocks function on multiplayer servers, not only in single-player worlds.

Use cases

Automated mob farms

Who it’s for: Players and server owners who build mob farms on Fabric for 26.1.2 and want less manual work in gathering and sorting mobs.

How it compares

Full comparison

Spawner Harvest is server-side only, open source under the MIT License and published for 26.2 on Fabric. Ultimate Mob Farms is open source under the MIT License, runs on Fabric and NeoForge for 26.1 – 26.2, and needs the client and server. Mob Get Attracted differs by being a single-file Fabric release for 26.1.2 that needs both client and server and is not open source.
