Two players are joined with the mchelden link command. Their lives are shared, so a death costs both of them the life counter, and if one player kills their own partner, that partner loses no life. Players who log out during a fight die instantly and lose a life. Uninvolved players cannot step into a running duel, and damage from them is blocked.

The mod is meant for server-run PvP projects. Ender pearl and cobweb use in combat can be limited through a command, remaining items are shown in chat, and every X minutes all players glow for Y seconds. Multiple spawns can be created with mchelden multispawn, players are spread across them on first join, and a resource pack is sent automatically on join through port 8080. Several features can be switched off globally, and the restrictions are configurable.

The mod runs on Fabric, and a Paper plugin build is also available for Paper, Spigot, Bukkit and Purpur servers. Files cover 1.19 – 26.2 across 28 release versions, and the license is Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial 4.0, which is not open source.
