Minecraft but you're a fish turns the player into a fish that can only stay in water, with lava and other effects reworked to match.

What it does

Players who stay out of water take damage over time, the same way the player would in hell unless they stand in lava. The mod is a joke project, and it is theoretically possible to play through a complete Minecraft world under these rules. Buckets are harder to craft than in vanilla, so the mod needs a little more effort to use. The player can join a server without the mod, while the server must run it for the rules to apply. Builds cover 1.20 – 26.2, with 1.0 for 26.2 as the latest file on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, released under the MIT License and not open source.

  1. Water-only movement

    The player can only stay in water, so leaving it causes damage over time.

  2. Lava behaves like hell

    Lava damage applies the same way the Nether does, unless the player is standing in lava.

  3. Harder bucket crafting

    The bucket recipe is more complicated than in vanilla, so getting water gets more involved.

What the author says

This is more of a joke project in which the player takes damage if he is not in the water. It works the same way in hell, the player does not take damage unless he is in lava (lol). Theoretically, it is possible to complete Minecraft. I also made the bucket crafting a little more complicated so that it wouldn't be so…
