Minecraft But Chunks are Random Biomes
by Bebu
Minecraft But Chunks are Random Biomes assigns each 16×16 chunk a completely random biome during world generation, so the terrain changes at every chunk border.
What it does
Each 16×16 chunk receives one biome picked at random while the world generates. Walking into the next chunk can mean arriving in a desert, a jungle, snowy plains, badlands or the Deep Dark, with sharp borders between them. Vanilla biomes are supported, so the set of possible surroundings comes from the game itself.
The mod suits adventure play and survival worlds, where the route to a resource is never known in advance. Resources from dozens of biomes can be gathered without traveling thousands of blocks, and unusual biome combinations appear close together. It works in singleplayer and on multiplayer servers, and it is built for modern versions of Minecraft.
The mod is Fabric only and runs server-side only, so players join without installing it. Files are published for 26.2 and 26.3, with 1.1.0 for 26.3 as the latest file. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source.
Key features
Random biome per chunk
Every 16×16 chunk is given a biome chosen at random during generation, which makes each new area unpredictable.
Sharp chunk borders
Biomes change abruptly at chunk edges, producing landscapes with hard transitions rather than gradual blends.
Vanilla biome support
The random choice draws from vanilla biomes, including desert, jungle, snowy plains, badlands and Deep Dark.
Resource variety nearby
Materials from many biomes are reachable close to one another, so a single trip can cover a wide set of resources.

Who it’s for: The mod is aimed at players who want endless exploration with unpredictable landscapes, in singleplayer or on servers, and at server owners who want a random-terrain game mode.
