Mel's DeCo is a decoration mod for Forge and NeoForge that adds furniture, cosmetic blocks and food items for building themed rooms, shops and gardens.
What it does
Furniture in the mod covers several building themes, including classic town and city, cottagecore, fantasy and futuristic styles. Alongside classic furniture such as tables, counters and cabinets, it includes more unusual blocks, among them holograms, LED light blocks, particle machines and a unique block called Smileycopter. Libraries can be furnished with books, rows and book stacks, while kitchens and cafés can use a range of food items such as bubble tea, baguettes, strawberry milk and tiered cakes.
Outdoor and party decorations are also part of the set: mirrorball and balloon blocks, baskets, windchimes and birdbaths suit gardens and celebrations. The mod is aimed at creative building, and it remains accessible in survival, where JEI can show the crafting recipes. Some cosmetics do not work correctly with Optifine, while the decorative blocks work with Optifine and shaders. Mel's DeCo runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge, with 1.20.1 and 1.21.4 as the builds with the latest files, and the mod is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
