MatchFill
by Endie
MatchFill, a Fabric storage utility, lets players deposit items into containers and sorts them into place as they go in.
What it does
Players use the mod to put items into existing chests and other containers with a filter that picks which stacks move. Storage can be sorted automatically in the same action, so a large inventory stays ordered without manual rearranging. The mod is built around inventory management and stays light on resources. It also works with other mods that add new external storage types. Fabric API must be installed alongside it. MatchFill runs on client and server, so both sides need it, and it is released under the MIT License for 1.21.1 – 1.21.11 across 11 game versions, though the code is not open source.
Key features
Filtered deposits
Items are moved into a container only when they match the filter, so stacks that do not belong stay in the inventory.
Automatic sorting
Storage is ordered on its own after a deposit, without the player rearranging slots by hand.
Inventory-focused design
The mod concentrates on managing items in storage and adds little beyond that task.
