Map Saver

by gitwither

Map Saver lets players save map items and item frame images to files, in single-player worlds and on multiplayer servers.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT LicenseOpen source1.17.1 – 1.18

What it does

Maps and images shown in item frames can be written out as picture files, so a build or a map view can be kept outside the world. Saving works the same way in single-player and multiplayer games. The mod is built for Fabric and covers 1.17.1 and 1.18 in its files. Because it is a client-side only mod, servers run without it and only the player who wants to save maps needs it installed.

Key features

  1. Save map items

Map items can be exported as image files for keeping or sharing outside the game.

  2. Save item frame images

Pictures displayed in item frames can be written to files, which suits map art builds.

  3. Single-player and multiplayer

Saving works in both kinds of game, so players on a server can export maps they have on hand.
