Portals lets players build custom portals that carry them to other dimensions in the world, and a Portal Orb activates them.

What it does

A custom portal is built from a 4x3 frame, the same shape as a Nether portal, and is activated with a Portal Orb placed above the bottom block. A smaller portal can be lit by right-clicking, and a solid block inside the frame stops it from opening. Stepping through sends the player to the closest portal with matching design.

Portals is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, plus as a data pack, across 15 release versions, 1.21.2 – 26.3. Only the server needs the mod, so players join without installing it. The code is open source under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later.
