Loosen Litematica
by lovexyn0827
Loosen Litematica relaxes the block state check that Litematica applies when it compares a schematic with the world, so alternative states in the same group are accepted.
What it does
When a player builds from a schematic, Litematica normally requires each block to match the exact state in the file. This Fabric client mod changes that check so blocks in the same group count as matches: for example, a quartz block in the schematic can be satisfied by another quartz variant, and ordinal glass can be swapped for stained glass. The rule covers blocks that share identical properties apart from material, hardness and similar values.
The change applies to the client alone, so a server running the same world needs nothing. It targets Litematica on Fabric, and the files cover 23 release versions, the latest being 0.1.0+build20250816 for 1.21.8. Litematica itself must be installed, since this mod only alters how its checks behave. The feature can be toggled in game with F3 + O, and later releases added further customization.
Key features
Grouped block state matching
Blocks in the same group are accepted in place of the exact state the schematic names.
Redstone and rail alternatives
Redstone components and rails can also match alternative blocks that share the same properties.
Toggle with F3 + O
The looser matching is switched on and off with the F3 + O key combination during play.
Further customization
Later releases expanded the options for controlling how strict the matching is.

Use cases
Building with substitute materials
A builder who lacks the exact block named in a schematic can place a close variant and still see the build progress in Litematica.
Who it’s for: Players who use Litematica to build from schematics on Fabric, especially when the materials in their world differ from the ones the schematic was made with.

What the author says
Make block state checking in Litematica looser, by allowing alternative block states in the same group. For example, you can use stone when the Litematica requires you to use quartz blocks, or use ordinal glass blocks when stained glass blocks are required.
