Login Security - Panda

by guarda_panda

Login Security - Panda, a NeoForge server mod, requires players to log in or register before they can act, and limits how many accounts one IP address can hold.

NeoForgeServer-side onlyAll rights reserved1.21.1 – 1.21.4

What it does

Until a player authenticates, the mod freezes movement and blocks interactions with items, blocks and chat, so an unauthenticated account cannot take actions in the world. Password checks allow a configurable number of attempts, and the minimum password length is 4 characters by default.

An IP registry tracks the accounts linked to each address, and a configurable account limit per IP discourages multi-accounting. Admin tools are included for managing the server. The mod is server-side only, so players join without installing anything, and it is published for NeoForge on 1.21.1 and 1.21.4 with release 1.0.1 as the latest file. Its source code and issue tracker are public, but the code is under All rights reserved and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Login and registration

New players register a password and returning players log in before the game allows any action.

  2. Password attempt limit

Password verification stops after a set number of failed attempts, with the limit configurable by the server.

  3. Minimum password length

Passwords must reach a minimum length of 4 characters by default, which the server can adjust.

  4. IP registry and account limit

Accounts are recorded against their IP address, and a configurable limit caps how many accounts one address may hold.

  5. Action blocking

Unauthenticated players cannot move, use items, interact with blocks or chat until they log in.
