Litematica-Printer-Easyplace-Extension
by aria1th
Litematica-Printer-Easyplace-Extension changes how the EasyPlace feature places blocks, so a player can build a schematic without setting off redstone contraptions.
What it does
The extension works by tweaking EasyPlace behavior rather than offering separate printing modes. Its main feature, Accurate Redstone Contraption Placement, makes the printer avoid placing any block that would activate a redstone contraption, which lets most of a circuit be built safely before it is switched on. The printer only places blocks where the placement is visible, and it uses EasyPlace to do so.
The extension is a client-side mod for Fabric, with files for 1.16 – 1.21.1 across 24 release versions. It requires Malilib and Fabric API to run, alongside the schematic tool it extends. Its author describes it as one that tries to follow the latest release of each of those mods, and the code is released under CC0 1.0 Universal, so it is open source with public links for the source code and the issue tracker. Some extra automated actions, such as clearing fluids or snow, are included, but the author notes they may not work every time.
Key features
Accurate redstone placement
The printer skips any block that would activate a redstone contraption, so circuits can be built without triggering them.
Visible-placement printing
Blocks are placed only where the player can see the placement, using the EasyPlace feature underneath.
Turning the extension off
The printerOff option disables the extension and returns to the normal EasyPlace behavior.
Fake rotation mode
The easyPlaceMode++ option replaces area printing with fake rotation, and printerModeFakeRotation places blocks in the correct orientation that way.
Accurate block placement option
printerAccurateBlockPlacement can be tried when Carpet Extra's AccurateBlockPlacement is enabled.
